GLITTERY CHRISTMAS TREES

HI EVERYBODY!!! It has been FOREVER since my last post!!! I have been busy playing with my Copic Markers and a new air compressor (whew!!! is that ever fun!!!!). I have learned new techniques using Elizabeth Craft Designs - can't wait to share them all with you!!!
These stickers are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
First I placed a strip of tape onto a piece of white cardstock. I very carefully lifted the peel-off and placed it right onto the tape. Sticky side down. I then sprinkled the images with transulent glitter and burnished it using my forefinger. I decided to use the palette technique and a very fine waterbrush to transfer the ink to the glittered image. This way I am positive I won't clog up my markers. I used 2 sizes of pop dots to give each tree a different dimension.

SPARKLING CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS

HELLO EVERYBODY!!! I have absolutely fallen in love with Elizabeth Craft Designs! Last week I discovered a way to combine her wonderful glitter with Copic Markers.

I applied double-sided tape to some scrap pieces of Neenah Classic Crest paper. I transferred the ornaments to the tape, glittered and brunished the ornaments and then used my selected colors of Copic Markers over the glitter. WARNING.....I would not suggest using any glitter other then Elizabeth Crafts!!!!! Elizabeth Crafts' glitter is an incredibly microfine glitter. After it is burnished there are absolutely NO specks of glitter left to clog up your marker. Other glitters might clog the marker so be careful!!!!

I cut out the ornaments and mounted them onto an embossed piece of cardstock, added the pearls and Elizabeth Craft chains.

This technique gives a beautiful sparkly shine all the way through - gorgeous!

Hi Everyone! Whether we like it or not it is definitely time to start thinking about Christmas cards! Every year I make a promise to myself to have everything done by Thanksgiving so I can totally enjoy the holidays. I think I just might get it done this year - hope so!

When I saw this wood reindeer stamp from Stampendous I knew I had to have it! I'm not sure if you can see that the white background paper has been embossed with snowflakes. The textured plate from Sizzit is actually called "Polka Daisies" but it sure looks like snowflakes to me! I stamped the image, colored with Copic Markers, added ribbon, attached a snowflake and finished up with Our Craft Lounge's Sparkly Fluff for snow. I almost always shadow my images with a light Copic Marker to give the image some depth. I love the simplicity of this card!

Bootiful Halloween

Hi!! Tomorrow I am doing a make and take at a local scrapbook store and wanted to share this fun card with you.
I used my Scor-it board to create the embossed lines on the card base. The stamp set is from the Stampendous 2010 release. The stamps are cling rubber - I love the way these stamps grip the ink to the paper. I am becoming a big fan of the rubber stamps again now that they are die cut and can be mounted on a block rather then having all my drawer space taken up with wood blocks! I used Martha Stewart's doily border punch to give the card a really girlie look. I colored the boots and socks with Copic Markers and embellished the buckles with Our Craft Lounge's Sparkling Silver glitter.

Making Tomato Sauce

As I was picking my beautiful vine ripened tomatoes yesterday, flowers in full bloom, all the vegetables-I had this this thought as I was picking the oregano( I am making some tomato sauce) I realized that the crispness in the air was the signal to get out the pumpkins and of course scarecrows. I love the cooler temperature and the change of seasons. It inspired me to get coloring- Speaking of coloring, I just found an art store near me (very bad for my budget) that carries all the colors of Copic markers and all the fun accessories to go along with it! So as the sauce was simmering I sat down with this fun little scarecrow stamp and my Copic markers. So many colors so hard to choose from!. I know like a broken record... A little glitter to accent my pumpkins, mustard cardstock base and deep chocolate brown, mustard checkered paper,of course checkered-so fallish. A smattering of buttons and he was done! I love spending a little time every day tucked away in the midst of stamps and all the fun accessories that go along with them. It makes for a great day!

BEAUTIFUL FALL LEAVES

HELLO EVERYBODY! Think it's too early to do a fall card? NAH!!!! I love fall!!! Here in the Rockies we experience the most beautiful Indian Summers and after a 90 degree day like today, I am ready!

The stamp set is from Our Craft Lounge - Shades of Fall. I wanted to do a lot of blending with my Copic Markers so this was the perfect card! I used my blender pen to saturate the backgound and then colored with my marker - YR20. Not only does this technique make the paper interesting but it makes the ink go further. I then used YR23 for the corners and blended it into the background. I colored the leaves using my favorite fall colors and added Spica Glitter Pens to the centers of the leaves to give them a sparkle. I cut them out and popped them up using pop dots. I didn't have the right color of button so I airbrushed a white button to match the orange in the leaves. I attached the button with twine (confiscated from my husband's stash in the garage). This was a fun card to make - LOTS of coloring and oh, such beautiful colors!!

Ahh Summer

Summer in Colorado can be, shall we say temperamental at the least? Sunny, beautiful, clouds roll in, some wicked Mother Nature is unleashed, the sky returns to a stunning bright blue! Watching the weather this afternoon is what inspired this" life is good" card. This little Stampendous bee just looks so happy, ready to dig in to a delicious piece of watermelon.YUM, true Summer a little glitter to accent wings and of course Copics fantastic colors to add just the right polish to the image! Taking time to make a card is better then blood pressure medicine! Take time to pamper yourself-get out your stamps and create a fabulous card to share with someone you love! PremadeHandmade Card Kits

Hi Everyone! Today I wanted to tell you a little bit about our company. As I was creating a Christmas card I started thinking about all the equipment I was using to make a single card. I remember when I started all I had was a rubber stamp, ink pad and some scraps of paper and very little knowledge of how to actually put it together to make it look like more then just a homemade card. I didn't even have a paper cutter! I would just measure and cut with a pair of scissors! The circles were a real challenge using my compass to make the circles and then trying to stay on the line - the circle would get smaller and smaller as I continued to trim again and again, trying to get it to look round. I soon realized I needed to invest in some fun equipment if I wanted to even come close to making a fabulous card.
First I bought a paper cutter, then a Big Shot. After purchasing the Big Shot I realized I needed those wonderful Nestibilities to make my die cuts look great (one of them being a circle). After buying my first set of Nestibilities I found I needed another set if I wanted them to actually "nest".
I began to realize just how expensive all this is and overpowering for someone to get started - thus PremadeHandmade was created. Our company was designed with the novice in mind - someone who loves crafts but has not, as yet, purchased all the different tools they need and maybe are not totally comfortable creating their own designs. Our card kits are already cut, die cut, embossed and ready to assemble. All you need to do is stamp the image (stamp included in the kit). A great way to make your own handmade cards to send to your friends!

Birthday's are the best!

Aren't birthday's the best? Especially when you have a handmade card in the mail. Let's you know that you are loved and someone was thinking of you! I am always so behind in the birthday card making! Every year I swear to myself that I am going to be a better, aunt, friend etc and most of the time I get about half of how many I want to make made. I know it is the age of email and e-cards. But I still love snail mail. It is so nice to get something in the mail besides catalogs and bills don't you think? I hope you enjoy this card it was made with fun diamond paper in cool greens, teals and browns. Accented by a strip of brown paper embossed with Provo crafts tiny dot embossing folder, along with the polka dot bow it adds just the right touch. I had so much fun with the little stamps, they just pop when they are mounted on the teal scalloped circles! Truly a card to wish anyone a "merry birthday".

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Hello again! Isn't it funny how cards evolve? I started out with 2 different red, white and blue patterned papers and ended up using a solid blue background. Sometimes less is more. I love the simplicity of this card. It really makes our nation's colors stand out.
I cut the 3 circles with my nestibilities die cuts. I stamped the images using Our Craft Lounge stamps from their summer release. The windmill is from an earlier OCL release. I colored with Copic Markers, applied Elizabeth Craft's microfine transparent glitter to the windmill. I then curled up the ends and taped it to a toothpick so it would look like it just might twirl in the wind.

SWIMMING

Hi Everyone! Not sure where this last week has gone! I totally admire all you bloggers who consistently get it done!
This card was created using Elizabeth Craft Design's peel offs. Aren't they gorgeous? I placed the stickers onto white Neenah Classic cardstock because I wanted to use my 2 favorite colors of Copic Markers. I used Elizabeth Craft's micro fine glitter on the tails of both fish and then burnished it creating that smooth finished look. I colored the fins of the larger fish with a Sakura metallic jelly roll jel pen (remember when these pens were all the rage?) I cut out the bubbles, colored them and added Diamond Glaze. The background is Worldwin Carribean paper. I finished up with a couple of stickers to make it look like seaweed. Ah, what a peaceful sight!

Look at these ants hauling off food from someone's picnic to make a feast for themselves!

These images are also from Our Craft Lounge's stamp set. The cake and hot dogs are separate stamps so they can be placed anywhere.

I used Kraft paper to cover the base of the card. I ran the Neenah Classic white cardstock through a Big Shot machine using a Nestabilities die. I used natural blending colors from Copic to color the images. Added a little bit of yellow to the paper flower with my yellow marker and attached it with a brad.

Now really - who could resist an invitation like this?

Happy Birthday Picnic

Here in the Rocky Mountains we LUV summer!

We love spring, fall and winter too but there is nothing like summer! Time to get out the picnic supplies and head on out!

These little ants from Our Craft Lounge are hysterical. I couldn't decide which images to use so I made 2 cards and a 3rd may be in the works! I really like the idea of ants having their OWN picnic!

I used the image with the table cloth in the foreground and the ant hill in the back. The little flowers and the wording are separate too. After coloring with Copic Markers, I outlined the images with grey C1 and blended it into the background with my blender pen. I finished up with Spica Glitter pens to make the cherry and the top of the pie shine. I used Cosmo Cricket and Reminence patterned papers.

I seriously don't know if there's anything cuter then a little boy and his dog!
The image is from Stampavie's CHA release - Bobby and me. The sentiment 'friend' is a Stampendous clear stamp.
I wanted the card to look boyish so I used the plaid background paper with red cardstock to accent - no frills on this one!
I colored the image with Copic Markers. To make his clothes look boyish and worn, I soaked a corner of a small piece of fabric with Copic Blender Solution and dabbed it onto his shirt and jeans to give it a washed out look.

Birthdays are always such happy occasions-at least when you are young or young at heart! I remember waiting and watching for mail running out to the mailbox everyday looking forward to cards! I really enjoy sending birthday cards and like to think that even as gown ups birthday cards in the mail still bring a smile! Loving cupcakes you know I love this clear stamp set by Stampendous, Changito whipping up cupcakes I imagine the flavors-Chocolate, vanilla, cherry chip, funfetti! The saying fits perfectly. I think that cupcakes no longer just need to be a birthday thing! Colored with Copic markers I love the pastel look. Pink and green paper make a great back ground fun and whimsical!

Spring has Sprung

Spring is such a beautiful time of year, trees blossoming, all my favorite flowers popping out everywhere, daffodils, rich colored tulips and my absolute favorite Iris's. It has been a wild Spring so far and we haven't been able to figure out if we can put away the snow boots yet...So us girls have been busy creating away with new fun stamps from Stampendous and Our Craft Lounge. Cards make sure that we stay in touch with a quick note and smile!

January a new year. Time for the Holiday decorations to be put away-kind of leaves the house bland don't you agree? So it is a good time to start creating Valentines. Lace and ribbon, heart shapes abound, cute or funny, Valentines make great snail mail! No one can open one and not smile and think happy thoughts about the sender. Lover or friend, there are Valentine choices for everyone! We have been creating some cute ones for you to enjoy!
Chocolates and Valentines what a great combination, white, dark, semi-sweet, milk, no matter what your "flavor" of choice grab your favorite and some fun supplies and make yourself some darling Valentines to send to loved ones!

LITTLE JARS FOR LITTLE THINGS

It’s not too late to put together a little gift to show your neighbors and friends how much you really appreciate them. These little jars are so cute and can be used for anything. Place them in the little slat box and they are perfect for homemade spices, cookie sprinkles or jellies to display on your kitchen counter.

I’m having lunch tomorrow with a group of fantastic ladies who help with my trade shows throughout the year. These ladies are always there to help with the set up, break down and actual show. It is SO much work! They never complain! I really appreciate their time and want to thank them so I created (with the help of my wood working friend) a set of jars for each of them. I used a set of Stampendous stickers -Frost Holly and filled the jars with sprinkles. I attached the card Suzanne designed “Got Milk?” and wrote my favorite gingerbread recipe on the inside of the card – simple and fun! Check in again for our Christmas promotion starting on Wednesday! You won’t want to miss it!

It's gloomy and cold outside making it a great day to stay put and spend time in my craft room. This card started out being all about the paper! After stamping the images on the die cut from Nestabilities, I wanted to see more paper. I cut and separated the pieces - really love the effect! The clear stamp from Stampendous also includes a penguin, a snowman, an Eskimo and different clothes to mix and match! I colored with Copic Markers, embellished with Sparkly Fluff and finished up with Class A' Peels.

Welcome Fall! Wow it is the first official day of fall and we went to 50*-We have had an absolutely beautiful summer...As the air turns crisp and everyone seems to just get busier we have been busy making card kits. Card kits that will help you make fabulous cards without all the stress! Creating cards always makes us happy so enjoy looking at all the great kits that we have created for you. We love stamping and coloring. And Sparkly fluff have you tried that yet? We want to use it on everything! We definitely look like we have been playing in glitter and loving it.
